Arcadia has been known for centuries as the City of Unity, a place where any creature can dwell, free of fear or hostility...well..almost every creature. If you are a human..chances are you are only there as a commodity.
Centuries before, the Magical Revolution saw mythical beings, and those able to use magic, rise up and destroy the kingdoms of the non-magic folk who had once repressed them. They built up a new society, with the most powerful creatures at the top, and humans at the very bottom. One of the cities that rose up in this new world was Arcadia, and as time passed it grew and grew into a huge, chaotic hub, made up of many hundreds of different creatures.
Arcadia is a wondrous, beautiful place....but all it not well in the City of Unity. One of the high ranking wizards has been murdered, and the Fae court is suspected. The creatures of the city are at each other's throats...and it's suspected that that itself might be someone's intention...

Arcadia is my new fantasy RP idea that I've been working on for a few weeks now, and just summoned the courage to put up. Arcadia is based around the idea of massive diversity, so almost any sort of fantasy creature is allowed, within reason. Dragons rub shoulders with tengu and djinn, elves and unicorns live alongside gorgons and merfolk, all sorts of being reside in Arcadia.
Aside from that, there are also roles open for the taking for those who wants them, as the heads of the various organizations that govern the city, as well as visiting dignitaries. My aim is to have lots of possibilities to make for a vivid and diverse character-focused RP, but with a driving plot of mystery and intrigue to keep things moving along a bit.
