?The year was 1984 and I was producing my first sold-out Arena show ever. The show was?Duran Duran. It?s incredible to think that 28 years later, this same act is as vibrant and exciting as ever. To host them in a theater setting is a very special opportunity for their fans in North Carolina. The closeness of the seats to the stage, DPAC?s acoustics, it?s another once-in-a-lifetime event at DPAC,? said Bob Klaus, GM of DPAC.

Duran Duran were part of the New Wave music explosion in the early 1980s, as well as a popular band on the newly-emerged MTV. Their iconic music videos helped catapult MTV, and they have sold over 70 million records, with twenty-one singles in the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and thirty in the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart.? Their major hits in the 1980s included ?Planet Earth?, ?Rio?, ?Hungry Like The Wolf?, ?Save A Prayer?, and the James Bond theme ?A View To A Kill,? and their work in the 90?s gave us ?Ordinary World? and ?Come Undone.?

Their latest album All You Need Is Now, is scheduled for release this March and their forthcoming DVD, A Diamond in the Mind, which was directed by Gavin Elder, is to be released in early Summer, 2012. For further information please visit www.duranduran.com.
