Working in Human Resources (HR) can be a fulfilling job because it allows you to help people and at the same time, you get to play a significant part in the growth of the business. But oftentimes, employees dislike their HR and they have lots of negative things to say about them.

If you want to do well in the Human Resources field, here are some things you need to do:

Engage

Being ?old school.? You have to adapt to the modern role of HR personnel. You cannot just be sitting at your desk doing some paperwork from the time you clock in to the time you clock out. These days, HR people reach out to the company?s employees. They take time to talk to them, ask them about their day, and listen to their complaints.

Create Trust

Being the company?s spy. You need to make the employees feel like they could trust you. Act as their advocate instead of watching them like a hawk, reporting every single move they make to management. Remember that your role is to help the employees in a way that?s beneficial to them and the company.

Lead/ Guide
