is 512 Mb RAM for android phone [on hold]

I am thinking of purchasing Alcatel one touch Idol 6030A its RAM seems to be 512MB, will it be sufficient for whatsapp,temple run and such apps.The phone runs on Jelly bean 4.1. on 1.2 Ghz Dual core processor Please help me out.It is going to be my first android phone. if you have any opinion about the phone or you can suggest a better phone i will be glad.
